A writing walk in Bedford, on National Writing Day, 26 June 2019, 5:30 – 7 p.m.
This will be led by Simon Wrigley, outreach director of the National Writing Project (nwp.org.uk). All welcome. Bring your notebooks, pens and friends.
Meet at 5:30 near the bandstand in Mill Meadows, Bedford – across the river from the embankment. This short walk – less than a mile - will take in Bedford lock, the boat-slide bridge and Archimedes screw, Longholme Lake, the Butterfly Bridge, the Time Gardens in Russell Park, and the suspension bridge. The walk will be punctuated with short writing prompts and finish with a time for writing and sharing at or near the bandstand, depending on the weather.
Plentiful parking off Longholme Way, on streets around Russell Park and along the embankment.
